PRESENT SIMPLE

Para comenzar por la gramática básica del inglés, es bastante común empezar por Present Simple. Se usa todo el tiempo y es bastante sencillo o simple como su nombre lo indica.

Para decir yo soy o yo estoy usamos el verbo 'to be'. 

Positive  form:                   Short  form

I am                                         I'm

you are                                    You're

He is                                        He's

She is                                      She's

It is                                           It's

We are                                    We're

you are                                    You're

They are                                  They're.

*la forma corta es la más usada. Pero cuidado con la pronunciación.

   EJEMPLOS
Ej: I'm helping my mother to do the laundry (estoy ayudando a mi madre a lavar ropa)
** I'm not helping my mother to do the laundry.
he's my boyfriend (él es mi novio)
** he's no longer my boyfriend (él ya no es mi novio)
we are reading the novel (estamos leyendo la novela)
** we aren't reading the novel.
